Us: What’s Greenpeace?
Them: Greenpeace is a global campaign that is independent. We work to conserve the environment, protect it and promote peace by changing attitude,and behavior of human beings.
Us: Why does this group exist?
Them: Because the Earth deserves a voice to defend it.
Us:How long have you been active?
Them: Since 1971.
Us: Where are your headquarters?
Them: We are based in Amsterdam, in Netherlands.
Us: Why has your group been create?
Them: Because we were motivated by our vision of a world at peace without any kind of pollution problems.
Us: How was this group formed?
Them: It was an association of friends who wanted to stop a second nuclear weapons test at Amchitka Island in the Aleutians.
Us: Who are the founders?
Them: The founders are: Dorothy and Irving Stowe, Marie and Jim Bohlen, Ben and Dorothy Metcalfe, and Bob Hunter.
Us: Where do you find the money?
Them: The majority of the money comes from donations and charity from the members and others.
Us: Why did you choose the color green to represent Greenpeace?
Them: Because it represents the environment.
Us: What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Them: We’ve made more than 200 hundred accomplishments that we are proud of. So if I tell you all of them, we haven’t finished yet. You can check our website, there are a couple of them.
Us: How can we help your cause?
Them: You can take care of the environment yourself by reducing your waste or give us money by donations.
Us: How do you convince so many people to join you in your cause?
Them: By media, television, radio and newspapers.
Us: Approximately, how many people have already joined your cause?
Them: Today there are 2.8 millions ‘’Greenpeacers’’ in 41 countries.
